Elderflower is one of the most versatile liqueurs a bartender can have in their repertoire. This floral spirit is the perfect addition for fresh cocktails at your next get-together or for a casual game night with friends. St Germain does Elderflower Liqueur best. Each fragrant bottle contains up to a thousand fresh elderflowers! As this beauty deserves to be the star of the show, Elderflower is often served as a spritz, which allows you to fully taste the spirit itself. Elderflower often pairs well with gin cocktails, as the botanical nature of each spirit complements the other. There is one simple cocktail that features Elderflower I want to share with you.

This fizzy beverage is wonderful for spring and summer days spent outside in the sun. For this drink, vodka or gin can be used, whichever you prefer. Here’s what you’ll need:
1.5 oz vodka or gin (preferably gin)
1 oz elderflower liqueur of your choice
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
.25 - .5 oz simple syrup (depending on the level of sweetness desired)
Top with a lemon sparkling water
Combine all ingredients into a highball glass, add ice, and stir lightly. Sniff, sip, and enjoy.
